  • Ripples Multidisciplinary Seminar Series 2025 – Inaugural Session

    The Ripples Annual  Multidisciplinary Seminar Series  “Technologia 2025 ” was formally inaugurated on 22 December 2025 at Sree Narayana Guru College, Chelannur, marking the beginning of an academic initiative aimed at fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and intellectual exchange among faculty and students.
    The inaugural session was graced by Dr. R. Subashini, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Calicut, as the Chief Guest. The programme was chaired by Prof. Dr. Kumar S. P, Principal, Sree Narayana Guru College, Chelannur.
    The event commenced with a warm and cordial welcome address by Mr. Rejish M. T., Assistant Professor and General Convenor of the seminar series. In his address, he highlighted the objectives of the Ripples initiative, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary perspectives in addressing contemporary academic and societal challenges.
    The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by the dignitaries, led by the Chief Guest, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge and academic enlightenment. This was followed by a series of felicitations, reflecting the collective support and enthusiasm of the institution:
    Sri P M Raveendran SN Trusts executive Member expressed appreciation for the initiative and assured active support.
    Dr. Athma Jayaprakash, IQAC Coordinator, underscored the role of such seminars in strengthening quality assurance and research culture within the institution.
    Dr. Vidhu Johnson, Head of the Department of Economics, highlighted the relevance of interdisciplinary collaboration in higher education.
    Dr. Bindu, Staff Association Secretary, expressed appreciation for the initiative and encouraged active faculty participation.
    Dr. Deepesh Karipunkara, Head of the Department of Malayalam, spoke on the integration of humanities with science and technology.
    Mr. Lohithashan, PTA Vice President, extended greetings on behalf of the Parent-Teacher Association and assured continued support.

    The Chief Guest, Dr. R. Subashini, in her inaugural address, shared valuable insights on emerging trends in computer science and the significance of cross-disciplinary research in the present academic landscape. Her address was informative and inspiring, especially for young scholars and faculty members aspiring to engage in multidisciplinary research.

    The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Gayathri P., Organising Secretary and Assistant Professor of English, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, the Principal, dignitaries, faculty members, students, and all those who contributed to the successful organization of the event.

    The inaugural session of the Ripples Multidisciplinary Seminar Series was a resounding success, setting a strong foundation for future academic engagements and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and interdisciplinary learning.
