Journal of Advances in Basic and Interdisciplinary Researchis a biannualjournal published by the SreeNarayanaGuru College, Chelannur, a higher educational institution affiliated to the University of Calicut, Kerala, South India. This multidisciplinary journal is issued in print version twice a year in June and December, and publishes original research articles in all areas relating to arts, science, humanities and commerce. Instructions to Authors
Submission Procedure
Original papers that fall within the scope of the journal shall be submitted to the journal for publication. Manuscripts may be sent as e-mail attachment to the Editor (E-mail id :journalchelannursngc@gmail.com). All manuscripts are subject to peer-review and copy editing. Annual Subscription refers to the period from 1st April of one year to 31st March of the academic year. The corresponding author should be a subscriber of the journal for publishing the research paper.
Manuscript Format
- Pages should be in single-column format, numbered consecutively after the abstract page, and formatted with at least one-inch margins on all four sides on A4 paper.
- The maximal length of the article including illustrations is restricted to 10 printed pages of JABIR, and include a maximum of two plates of illustrations, if necessary.
- Microsoft Word 97-2003 or MS-Word 2010 versions are preferred. PDF is not acceptable for final manuscript submission (except for papers with Mathematical content).
- Manuscript should be typed on one side of the paper, double-spaced and in Times New Roman font.
- All submissions should include a title page giving the name(s) of the author(s), a concise and informative title, the affiliation(s) and address(es) of the author(s). Name of the corresponding author should be highlighted by an asterisk, with whom all the future correspondence shall be made. The e-mail ID and mobile number of all the authors should be provided.
- The manuscript should be organized as Title page, Authors and their affiliation, Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Material & Methods, Results & Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements and ReferencesorAbstract, Key words, Introduction, Subheads if any, Conclusion and Works Cited for language articles.
- The abstract should not exceed 250 words and should not contain any unspecified references.
- It is necessary to provide 4 to 6 keywords listed in alphabetical order.
- Units in metric system: Full forms of all abbreviations used in table; source of data should be given in detail.
- Tables, Figures and Diagrams: Include Tables and figures in the same file as the text in the end of the manuscript. Insert Figures into the document in JPEG or TIFF format. Only black & white figures are encouraged. The colour diagrams also will be accepted but it is chargeable.
- Equations: Each equation should appear on a new line.
- Acknowledgement: All acknowledgments should be typed in one paragraph and inserted above the reference section.
- References are to be listed in alphabetical order of the surnames of the first authors, and then of the second authors, and so on. Citation in the text should be given in brackets such as Saad (1950), Thomas and Dyer (2010), Stuessy et al. (2006) etc.
- The format for reference is as follows :

Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission to reproduce any copyrighted material in the manuscript.
Review Procedure
The manuscript that meets the guidelines will be acknowledged by the Managing Editor. It will then be sent for peer review. The Managing Editor reserves the right to edit the manuscript and the contributor will be notified if substantial revision is needed.

The articles featured in the journal reflect the opinion and findings of the authors and do not represent the opinion of the SreeNarayanaGuru College, Chelannur.
