The Department of Politics was established in 1965 and catered to the training of Pre-degree and BA History Main Degree students of the college, till the delinking of the Pre Degree course from colleges. The Department is presently focused mainly on the BA subsidiary students (since 1980), and is at present represented by a single Faculty member.

Infrastructure

The department has a computer with printer and a well-equipped departmental Library to cater to the academic needs of the students.
