The Department of Hindi was established in 1975, and Dr. Preetha, Dr. Krishnarani, and Dr. Soumya C.S. had offered their services as the Heads of the department. The department is currently headed by Dr.Suma T.K.

Infrastructure

The department has a Library to cater to the academic needs of the Degree students who have opted for Hindi as their second language.
