Fine Arts Day 2026

The Fine Arts Fest of Sree Narayana Guru college, Chelannur, held annually, is an extraordinary celebration of creativity and artistic talent. The event serves as a platform for students to showcase their skills and express their artistic visions across a wide range of art forms. This year's Fine Arts Fest, which took place from 20,21,22 AND 23rd of January 2026, featured a dynamic lineup of performances, and competitions, bringing together the diverse talents of the student body. The festival was a remarkable success, reflecting the vibrant cultural atmosphere at Sree Narayana Guru college, Chelannur. Fine arts advisor was Dr.Divya N K, Faculty, Physics department and fine arts secretary was Atheena gopi, student third BSc Botany.

Fine Arts Day 2025

SNG College celebrated its grand Fine Arts Day, Kummaatti 2025, from February 4th to 7th with great enthusiasm and artistic fervor. The event brought together students from various disciplines to showcase their creative talents in music, dance, drama, and visual arts. The official inauguration was held on February 4th, with renowned actor Gokul, famed for his role in Aadu Jeevitham, gracing the occasion as the chief guest. The event was presided over by our respected principal, Kumar Sir, who emphasized the importance of arts in education. Sadik, a member of the Calicut University Academic Council, delivered the felicitation address, applauding the students for their dedication and passion for the arts. Over four days, the college campus was transformed into a vibrant hub of artistic expression, with competitions in painting, music, dance, drama, and literary events. Students participated with great enthusiasm, making it a tough contest for the coveted overall championship The event concluded on February 7th with a grand closing ceremony, where winners were felicitated, and the spirit of creativity and camaraderie was celebrated. Kummaatti 2025 was a resounding success, leaving behind unforgettable memories and inspiring students to continue their artistic journey.

Sports Day Celebrations 2023

Department of Physical Education in association with College Union of Sree Narayana Guru College 2022-23 conducted Sports Festival from March 1-3, 2023. The event started with minor games on the first day. The second started with the Inauguration ceremony. Sri. Arjun Balakrishnan (Current Santhosh Trophy player of Kerala) inaugurated the sports festival and honorable principal Dr. Kumar S P chaired the session. Sri Jithesh C P (HOD Department of Physical Education) delivered vote of thanks. The Inauguration ceremony was followed by major events Cricket, Kabbadi, Javelin throw, Shotput for the students. The Annual Athletic meet was held on the third and last day of the festival. The event came to close by the Department wise Football and Cricket Competition.


Arts Day Celebrations 2023

The College Fine Arts Competitions were held on 06th to 10th February 2023. There was a Food Festival on 06th February to create a festive vibe n the campus for bringing out the talents and creativity of students. The Off-Stage programmes were conducted on 07th and 08th February 2023. The On Stage items were staged on 09th and 10th February 2023.The Science wing of the college secured the first position and won the overall trophy for fine arts winners. The second and third positions were bagged by Arts and Commerce wings respectively. The trophies were distributed by the Union Advisor Dr. Vineesh K. P. and other faculty members of the college.


College Union Inauguration, January 2023


The College Union Inauguration of Sree Narayana Guru College, Chelannur was held on Wednesday, 4thJanuary 2023, in the college campus. The program was organized by the College Union which was elected for the year 2022-23, along with the Principal and the faculty. It was a full-day program, which started at 10:00 am and ended by 4:00 pm. The program has been monitored by the Union Advisor Dr. Vineesh K.P and the faculty, under the supervision of the Principal Dr. Kumar S.P.The College Union Chairman Sri.Akash P J, along with other union members stood in the front and charted out the programs effectively. The whole college assembled in the veranda for welcoming the Chief Guest Sri. S K Sajeesh, Member, Yuvajana Commission Kerala State Committee. The College Union Chairman rendered the welcome speech for the program presided by the Principal Dr Kumar S P. The inaugural speech by the chief guest was very much inspirational and was well appreciated. The felicitation were done by Dr. Vineesh K P, Union Advisor, Mrs. Sangeetha, Fine Arts Advisor, Dr. AthmaJayaprakash, IQAC Coordinator, Mr. Babu K M , Secretary, Staff association and Gayathri, University Union Councelor. The chief guest honored student achievers by presenting mementos. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Hrithik Piyush, College Union Secretary.

There were several programs in the afternoon which literally swept everyone off the floor. More than thirty variety programs were staged by the students.Beatboxing by Abin J S was exceptional and the songs and dance performances were superb. After that, there was a mind blowing musical performance by the violinist Amal Siva of Masala Coffee Band and VaikashVaraveena of Sanchari Music Band.. Many students came on stage for singing songs. The music and the ambience were energetic, positive and thrilling.All the teaching and non-teaching faculty were present throughout the program.



Christmas Day Celebrations, 2022


The Christmas Day Celebrations of SreeNarayana Guru College, Chelannur was held on Friday, 23rd December 2022, in the college campus. The program was organized by the College Union and the students from all departments, faculty and non- teaching staff participated in the festivity. The College Union Chairman Sri.Akash P J, along with other union members stood in the front and charted out the programs effectively. The whole college assembled in the veranda for welcoming the grand entry of the Carol band, along with Santa Claus, Angels , Nuns and Priests and students in colorful attires. There was a Christmas Crib making completion and the Department of Malayalam bagged the first prize and the department of Botany and Biology got the second and third prizes. Cake cutting and exchange of gifts followed and the faculty also joined the partying in their respective department classes.

There were several programs in the afternoon. Many students came on stage for singing songs. After that, there was a Costume Challenge and the faculty in the college selected the winners. This was the most colorful and the most entertaining program and the spectators enjoyed a lot. 'Panchagusthi Malsaram' which is an arm wrestling completion followed it and a large number of students and faculty participated in it. The whole celebrations ended with a massive dance by the students who rocked the floor, accompanied with energizing music. The program has been monitored by the Principal Dr. Kumar S.P, the faculty and co-ordinated by the Union Advisor Dr. Vineesh K.P and the Fine Arts Advisor Mrs. Sangeetha. The program began at 10:00 am and ended at 4:00 pm and the college closed for Christmas vacation.


College Union 2019-2020


The students of the college elect a college union from among themselves every academic year as per University rules. A Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Fine Arts Secretary, Student Editor, University Union Councillors, Class Representatives and Secretaries of various Departmental Associations are elected. The College Union will organize co- curricular activities to develop the talents of students. A College Magazine is published by the College Union at the end of every academic year.
