Capt. (Dr.) Sindhu Krishnadas extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, faculty members, and students, emphasizing the importance of recognizing economic excellence.Dr. Vidhu Johnson delivered an inspiring speech, outlining the significance of the Nobel Prize in Economics and its influence on global economic policies.Prof. (Dr.) Kumar S.P., Principal of Sree Narayana Guru College, Chelannur, officially inaugurated the seminar. He highlighted the role of Nobel-winning research in shaping modern economic theories and policies.Dr. Manju M.P., Director, Department of Life Long Learning Extension, commended the Economics Department for organizing an event that fosters academic curiosity and excellence.Dr. Athma Jayaprakash, IQAC Co-ordinator, emphasized the importance of staying updated with global economic advancements and encouraged students to delve deeper into Nobel-winning research.Smt. Athira Ajay expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, faculty members, and students for their active participation.The seminar concluded with an insightful presentation by Dr. E.M. The IPR Club of Sree Narayana Guru College Chelannur successfully conducted a seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on 28th January 2025. The event was well organized and featured insightful discussions led by distinguished speakers.

Program Highlights
The seminar commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Joobi, VP, who emphasized the importance of intellectual property rights in today’s competitive world.Varsha Prakash delivered the presidential address, highlighting the objectives of the seminar and its relevance to students and professionals.The seminar was formally inaugurated by Dr. (Prof) Kumar S.P., who provided an overview of the significance of IPR in various domains.Dr. Athma Jayaprakash extended his felicitations and appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee.Dr. Manju M.P. also shared her thoughts on the importance of intellectual property protection and innovation. Sri Rajesh M.T. delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and participants for making the event a success.The seminar concluded with an informative presentation by Adarsh H.S., which provided valuable insights into various aspects of IPR.

On 21st November Department of Economics conducted inauguration of Economics Association. Our Principal Prof.(Dr.) Kumar SP inaugurated Economics Association function. DR. SURESH BABU(Assistant Professor Department of Economics SARBTM Govt.College Koyilandy) delivered invited talk on the topic 'The Art of Learning Economics'. Students & Teachers of Economics, Dr. Athma Jayaprakash, Dr. Deepesh Karimpinkara, Smt. Aswani BG, Capt.(Dr.) Sidhu Krishnadas T, Sri. Jithesh CP, Ms. Charutha P etc delivered felicitation to the programme.

Ripples (2022-2023)
As part of the Annual multi-disciplinary Seminar series Ripple's 2022, PG Department of Economics organized a seminar on the topic " Innovative practices in Banking" on December 15, 2022. Dr.Rahul K, Associate Professor, PG Department of Economics, Government Arts and Science College, Meenchantha presented the paper. A paper presentation competition was organised as a part of this seminar.
